An unidentified Mexican child insurgent. Many of these children also acted as spies, since it was easier for them get behind behind enemy lines. However, they were very often caught and summarily executed.
The caption on this photo reads "Macedonio Manzano - He was executed on the 4th of June of 1913 at the age of 15 in the company of a total of 18 other volunteers by the carrancista forces in Matamoros." He was executed by the forces of Carranza after he participated in the defence of the town.
Maurilio Sanchez, age 14, and Jose Monroy, age 13, in 1915 in Guaymas, Mexico. It is not identified as to which side they fought for.
