To get there, just stay on the street you are on when you drive across from Presidio, Texas. You will pass through town, and you will be on the Chihuahua highway. Keep going almost exactly 25 milels until you are eventually on top of a mountain where you can look back at the horizon a hundred miles away. There is a parking lot there, where you can stop.
Get out of your car and walk down the path to the edge of the canyon, there is a guard rail there for your safety. The Peguis overlook is this side of the government inspection station, so you don't need any travel permits or passports to go there.
If you don't want to drive there, the taxi drivers at the bridge will take you there and back for only forty dollars, the last time we checked! |
